The Royal Borough Ambassadors

The Royal Borough Ambassadors are a legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games when 250 volunteers were recruited and trained to support events held at Eton Dorney Lake. At that time, they were known as the Eton Dorney Ambassadors and the scheme was so successful many wanted to continue to volunteer at events held locally in the Royal Borough.

13 years on the Royal Borough Ambassadors are still going strong and new recruits are actively encouraged to join. Ambassadors regularly support annual events such as the 21 Gun Salute for HM The King’s Birthday, Royal Windsor Flower Show, Windsor Duck Race, En Plein Air, Frogmore House Charity Open Days, Windsor Running Festival, Battle of Britain Service, Pumpkin Party, Christmas light switch-on events and so on.

Over the years the Ambassadors have also played a very important role in State Visits, Royal Walk Abouts, Royal Weddings, Royal Funerals and Jubilee Events.
